Executive Coaching and On-Boarding
Are you facing these challenges?
Setting consistent expectations for a team as their new leader
Elevated to a higher-level role in an organization
Struggling to figure out how to manage your staff and your time with new responsibilities
Why It’s Important
Organizations often hire or promote a person into a position while leaving out the critical step of connecting the new leader to his/her position and, from there, to the team through effective on-boarding. New leaders can often feel uncertain, confused and lost in their new role, relying on gut instincts to persevere. This can lead to disruption, disengagement and misdirection of the staff.
Using team dynamics and expectation setting techniques, effective on-boarding can reduce the anxiety in both the new leader as well as the team members in establishing expectations and communication channels.
How We Help
We use team dynamics techniques as well as an on-boarding framework to identify the “rules of engagement” for the team, as well as the expectations of the leader. We present this in team building sessions for the whole group to successfully launch the new leader and team members into their respective roles.
